Sounded more depressing than encouraging. We see the trends... and should fight against them. The natural bent however favours extremism.

This could be that it is a monday morning and I have not had enough coffee yet, but how do you arrive at this? If I fight fire I do not become a fire, If I fight cancer I don't become a cancer. I am not grasping how you can say that by fighting extremism you become an extremist yourself.
