Hey All

Hey All
Hello everyone,

I am joining this forum as a bit of a guidance as how to deal with my beliefs which are not very socially acceptable. It's been a bit tough coming out of the "closet" as an athiest.

Yes I am an athiest, but I prefer the term "moralist". Isn't that what most religions try to teach us anyway? Morals?

Looking forward to talking to you all. I may Lurk for a while before posting. Never jump in the pool until I get my feet wet first.

Thanks.

Welcome, but please don't take any guidance from the resident anarchist Devil

Absolutely not.

Religions teach that "we're better than every one else who doesn't believe in OUR invisible sky-daddy."

All religions suck ass.

Ah, I like to dive head first in, the shock might seem more extreme, but it'll pass, and there's no risk of getting cold feet.

Welcome! Big Grin
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Welcome Begg, glad you could join. These are great forums and we have some members who have a wealth of knowledge to share.

We also have members like me ... not quite as useful, but still entertaining. Welcome to a life of freedom - don't it feel good?! [Image: BigSmile.png]

Welcome noob. Morals and religion are mutually excusive. The religious like to think there is a connection, but that is just another one of their delusions.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
