Street preaching
The High Court of Australia today ruled on the uncontroversial city bylaw banning preaching and haranguing passers by without a permit. Police had arrested some very aggressive and unpleasant preachers who were giving everyone the fucking shits. They appealed, going all the way to the High Court.

I have no idea who might have paid for the appeals Thinking

The High Court has ruled the bylaw is both unlawful and unconstitutional. The council is really pissed off.

If those cunts can hurl threats of eternal fire and pain and frighten children, I think it's only fair we be allowed to hurl things at them too:Insults ,rotten eggs, other produce, the odd brick, that kind of thing.Devil

Agreed.

See if you can get a local atheist group to fund a pamphlet of your own that lists the Top 10 Contradictions and Outright Lies of the Bible.

Hand them out right next to those assholes. One good turn deserves another.

Honestly whats the difference between yelling fire in a theater and preaching apocalypse and brimstone?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

One saves lives, the other one doesn't.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Street preachers :-(

Jesus himself even preached against them, calling them hypocrites.

That's what you do in the competitive market of superstition. Poison the well.

Depends on if there's a fire in the theater or not.

No one ever slit their wrists over a false fire alarm.

Yup. If there wasn't a fire, then the yeller would just be your average douchebag. Still better than the street preachers, I think Smile

He'd be your average douche bag being charged with a misdemeanor (assuming no one gets hurt). Meanwhile Ali Armageddon is free to spout off whatever scary shit he likes.

The difference is that a theater might actually be on fire.
