You asked about problems with atheism. I answered that I have none. That answers the question you actually presented. As you did not qualify your meaning oft the word 'atheism', I simply assumed you used the word as it used on every atheist forum I've visited.IE. 'Atheism' means a disbelief in God(s) From the Greek 'atheos'; a= without theos=god. NOTHING ELSE IS IMPLIED OR MAY BE INFERRED.

EG An atheist may be politically left or right wing or apolitical,may follow a range of Greek philosophies,or none, accept Freudian or Jungian psychology,or think psychology is rubbish. Want a secular,multicultural society,or not. Be a militant atheist or not, an anti theist, or not.

Atheism is about a lack of belief AND NOTHING ELSE. If people have a problem with my lack of belief,the problem is theirs,not mine.I can see anti atheist bigotry being a problem in say Saudi Arabia or parts of the Deep South in the US. However,that is not the case here in Australia.Therefore it is accurate to say I have no problems with atheism.

BUT, I DO have some problems with some people who behave like obnoxious jerks AND who happen to be atheists.My problem is not with their atheism but their behaviour. The OP is a graphic example.

Well,not for me, an atheist ,who simply asserts "I do not believe due to lack of credible evidence"

I can however see that it could be a problem for the thinking theist who asserts " I DO believe [even though there is no credible evidence]"

A formal psychological term for such a mindset is 'cognitive dissonance',a common state amongst intelligent believers.

There is a distinct lack of cheese-puffs being worshipped in Atheist dogma. That is a problem in my eyes, and it makes about as much sense as most of the other 'problems' presented in here so far.
