Consistency isn't really important in a forum. If I were writing for a client, however, I would either stick to no contractions or use them occasionally -- like I did in that post. It depends on the work. I almost never use all contractions and I mostly use none. I do ghost write some wacky music blog posts that I will use all contractions for, but that is the epitome of casual writing.

Well, what can I say? I'm... I'm whelmed. Not over- or under-, but exactly the right amount of whelm.


At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
