Kingdom hearts and final fantasy both feel bland musically to me. They can have their moments... but they shrink away from ever doing this to me:

The whole point of the fallout story is that events deviated in the mid twentieth century compared to our world. That's the reason why the fallout world was essentially stuck in the 40's/50's and the post apocalyptic world picked up on the same culture and everything stagnated from there. That's the reason why you hear that music.
