Unfortunately, I myself have struggled with slowing my draw (sixgun reference) with others for years. I'm a LOT better than I use to be, but sometimes I think there's little one can do when you're dealing with idiots. Intelligence can be your enemy if you want to be known as a "nice guy".

I have, with the help of another adult, recently realized that I am coming off as an arrogant prick on facebook.
Unfortunately, this does have a lot of truth to it.

I think the reason people don't talk to me much on FB is that they think I will bite their head off if they disagree with me or cannot adequately explain their beliefs.

Any advice on repairing my image?
Some older people's advice would be welcome.

Choose your battles wisely and thoughtfully. Sometimes stupid deserves a well-reasoned, but brutal attack. Sometimes it's more worth it to let it go. Come and vent about it here! I do!



If the dumb dumbs that I unfortunately stay in touch with want to say mindless guano like. "God bless you." or "Jesus is insert dumbness here", I just let that stupid shit fly, and sometimes (just for hoots) I "like" their stupid bullshit.

Ya know, just to fuck with their heads.

I find it helps to have a sense of humor about it if you can.

By the time I was 23, I thought I knew who all my true friends were, but I have weeded so many out since, it's ridiculous. Keep your eyes open. Christians, in my experience, will be the first ones to fuck you over. They have bible verses to justify every ounce of ruthlessmess. Don't forget that for as stupid as they can be, they're tricky little fuckers.

Essentially, i'm replacing most of the posts where I mention shit like being the Resurrection Goddess, who killed the Creator God (Larry), who is STILL PISSED OFF that the bananas stole my blue hair dye, and most of my MoO references... with saying 'girlfriend is fucking amazing' Shouldn't bother most people who avoid reading my posts anyhow ^_^

Though if people actually like my 'old hat' stuff... I'm more than willing to bring it back
