Hmmm. You'd be bigoted if you stand on that statement of your own. Like Shell B said- you do not know anything about her.

Not an Emo by any chance?

Ad hominem.

The last 26 pages have been an ad-hom on life. And? What's going on here? You can't hang so you decide that it's life itself that's the problem, and not the things swimming around between your own ears?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That wasn't an ad hom, dipshit. That was a question.

You're an idiot, therefore, your arguments must be nonsense. <-- That is an ad hom

Do not listen to him, Rhythm. He said something stupid on every page of this thread. <--- Ad hom

Essentially, saying that something you say is not valid because of some slight you committed or some personality flaw is an ad hom. Didn't we have another vocab lesson somewhere else in this thread? Listen, it is in your best interest and in that of this atrophied thread, that you simply answer arguments, stick to the topic and refrain from posts that add nothing to the topic, save your judgment of the poster.

The statement was expressed in a sarcastic manner insinuating that I was depressed, which by your definition of the word would indicate irrational thinking, correct? The question was a red herring to a sub-culture outside the social norms and the word emo has a negative connotation which puts forth a stereotype. But lets not argue over semantics to an irrelevant question.

I'll answer the question then.

No, I am not an emo. How can I prove this? You'll have to refute my argument.

Whatever though...

He could have called you a gigantic prick of a douchebag with saggy balls and bad breath and it would not have been an ad hom. Google it. I'm too tired to bother with you right now. Just figure out what it means so you know how to use it next time.

Instead of arguing against the premises and conclusion, he linked it to a characteristic of my person... You're going to have to explain it to me.

There was a thread on the meaning of ad hominems and it's applications.
I'll quote it here because it's a very simple explanation:

(October 1, 2011 at 11:44 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: Not every insult is an ad hominem. Not every mean comment is an ad hominem. Not every bit of mockery is an appeal to ridicule.

It becomes an ad hominem when insults are used in place of an argument. It's where you attack the person and not the argument.

Ad hominem: "Oh yeah, well, you're stupid, so there"
Not ad hominem: "In your argument, you missed X, Y, and Z and here's A, B, and C to show that you're wrong, you blithering idiot."

In the second example, the insult, while perhaps a bit harsh, is not an indicator of fallacious reasoning. The insult is in addition to the argument, as a by the way, not a replacement for an argument.

Whining "Ad Homimen"

Note: The words in bold are my own emphasis to show you the important parts in the explanation.

Sarcasm is just one of the many services I offerCool Shades

But.... the statement was based on a reasonable conclusion drawn from the fact that your entire post count has pretty much consisted of "Life is pointless and everthing should die".

If you think this is a positive outlook...........

And the question was just a question. I'm happy to accept your claim that you are not in fact an Emo(though they are quite cute) since you know your circumstances and I don't.

Though I would suspect that you are still a teenager caught in the throes of the usual self imposed"the world doesn't understand my pain" angst and suffering.
