Im assuming that if it were attempted, it would take much less than 20 years given the much higher level of technology that is available now. It's worth giving it a go I'd say.

Thanks I'll check that out. Can I ask, why did the japanese engineers say that it would have taken a thousand years to build the pyramids? It's meant to have been 20, isn't it?

You know, I saw a tv documentary on it maybe 25 years ago but it had to do with the fact that everything involved, from the bronze tools to the sleds pulling the rocks worked no where near as well as the Egyptologists were claiming.

And to this day we still have no clue what sort of ramp or other system was used to raise blocks to the top.

What's the point, we already know that with modern construction equipment, the Chinese managed to build a dam equal to 26 great pyramid laid out in a row in less than 20 years.

As Summer hinted at with her Lewis Black reference - it might just be the "Big Fucking Thing" approach to public works. Using modern methods seems fairly pointless.

You know, Chuck, I'd be happy if they built a 50 foot high replica using what they believe to be ancient technology just to see if it can be done.
The Egyptologists tell us they did not have cranes, pulleys, iron tools, or bladed saws. Fine. How about an actual experiment to test your hypothesis? That's science. Making statements and refusing to budge is religion.

I'd love to know HOW they were built. Success would answer a lot of questions but failure might open up a whole new line of inquiry.

Apparently they're going to build a replica of the egyptian pyramids. I haven't found anything on this, has anyone else? From what I hear they're going to try and do it in 20 years using the same techniques.

Summer needs to watch out then, theyll be after her and her family as the workforce.
