I want the war on drugs ended as much as any pot smoking liberal, but it's not as simple as becoming president. I have serious doubts that he could get such a thing accomplished, nor do I believe any of his "conservative" campaign promises. He's a fake. He can denounce those quotes all he wants, but who wouldn't? He'll denounce whatever abhorrent bully bull that ever came out of his mouth to win an election. It doesn't mean that he isn't a bigot anymore.

It is nothing short of moronic to think that a president can "end the drug war". That requires congressional support.
A president can, however, choose to lower the priority of drug enforcement. He can also ignore illegal (by federal eyes) dispensaries.
Bush ignored the dispensaries. Obama did for two years. It's a political tomfoolery game, enabled by conmen of congress.

Logic and reason dictate that Ron Paul is NOT fake. He;s been consistent for 30 years. If he was "fake", don't you think the elites' media would be paying attention to him? He basically wins almost every poll, so if he's gonna continue their plan, it would be to their benefit to shine a light on him.
Me thinks you're too hung up on some quotes that he didn't even say mind you, from a magazine that had his name on it, years ago. He's already said as much that he doesn't adhere to that. And I don't know why we as a people feel the need to be ashamed of any feelings of proudness of being "white." Obama's racist pastor didn't stop him from being elected.

Well if Ron Paul's proposals are being backed by the people, Congress will voter with him, no matter if they agree or not. They do not want to go back to their districts hated, they want to be re-elected.
So if a President Paul has popular support among the people, Congress will not be an obstacle.

I think it's not only stupid, but repugnant to be proud of something of which you had no control... such as your skin color.

You're proud of your boobs though, aren't you?

Possibly, but be sure to come out and denounce any "gay pride parade" you hear of, because they were born that way, they had no control, so they have no right to be proud.

Spoken like a fool who has no understanding about what gay pride actually is.
Gay people don't go parading because they're proud to just be gay. That's ridiculous. They're parading because they're proud that they can parade through town as openly-gay people. They're proud of the fact that they have overcome so much bigotry and ignorance, and that they have finally come to a point in time in which they can be free to just be who they are.
Gay pride parades are a celebration of culture and liberation from the chains of shame. That's something for which they've waited a long time, and for which they have fought very hard. Sometimes the gay pride parades are intended to be a demonstration for the purposes of activism. They still have so much to overcome, and so many rights to claim.
Don't be so narrow minded! We're here, we're queer- get used to it.

I mean, Obama has a treasure chest of support. He is not doing so hot in the polls, but beleive me, he will not be easy to beat. And I think the Republicans will take that for granted. Obama has gays, lesbians, Jews, Muslims, Blacks, Democrats, Atheists, union workers, and nearly half of America relies on Uncle Sam for support. Does it make any sense that the GOP would nominate somebody who has the potential to turn away all those afformentioned voters? Ron Paul has the capacity to attract voters from all sides of the spectrum.
If Dr. Paul has the honor of becoming President, he will:
1. Phase out the IRS
2. End Income taxes
Oh brother
3. Bring our brave men and women home where they are loved and not hated. From everywhere, not just Iraq and Afghanistan!
not the worst idea, but also not the best
4.And this is a big one- End the FED. (JFK was the last President that wanted to do this! Abe Lincoln wanted to restrict the globalist elites from forming a national bank)
wont see me arguing there
5.Stop all foreign aid- Americans deserve our money more then any foriegn country does!
Dick
6.Secure our borders
So what was the point in America in the first place
7. Repeal the UNpatriot ACT!
8. Balance the budget in his 3rd year with $1 trillion in cuts the first year!
wonder who'll suffer the most
9.Abolish corporate subsidies and return spending to 06 levels
10. As President, Ron Paul will take home a salary of $39,336 which is about equal to the average median income, instead of the current President's $400,000 salary!
wow, given the fact he's worth $5mil it wouldnt affect him at all, plus thats just a crude publicity stunt that only idiots buy
He should leave politics to people who understand utopia is impossible.
