Atheists= intelligent?

RE: Atheists= intelligent?
actually to answer that, you talked about ultimate meaning so I assumed it must be something special in your mind. But that was presumptuous.

And you still don't get it.

Atheists as a group have nothing in common excepts a non belief in deities. Whatever an atheist does or doesn't do or thinks is not the same for the whole group. Therefore every time you asked me what happens when I die or what to do, I distinctly said what would happen according to me. What I do with my life is up to me. There is no Atheist dogma I need to follow there.

If you think that is meaningless that is up to you, but I am perfectly happy with that.
And morality to me is what you agree with with the community you are part of. You agree to live under a certain society's rules and laws to better that society. This will give you less freedoms as an individual but in exhange a better understanding with your peers.

Why do I think animals have a purpose to life because just like us they live in the world trying to survive, eat, sleep and all the others. What is the point of all fo this for animals if they don't have a meaning in life, just like humans.

Once again tell me your meaning in life.

Then why do you add meaning to your life, if it does not need a meaning at all???????????

Ok, I should have done this way earlier. What is your definition of meaning?

See for me to answer this would be off base. Because all you have to do is say i don't accept that definition of meaning. So if you want to go on what is generally accept by the common people then I will present you that definition of meaning?

RE: Atheists= intelligent?
Well the reason I am asking is that the way I see it we are going around in circles because you are looking for an answer of what i think is a non existing question.

You ask "What is the meaning of (your/my/fill in name here) life?" which presupposes there is one.
I ask what makes you think there is a meaning because I suppose there is none.
Then you go of in that tantrum again about morality, which makes absolutly no sense to me because morality to me is naturalistic behaviour in a group, in our case society or civilization. And thats ans answer you can't live with apparently.

Am I wrong, if so, where?

See you don't answer my question: Why do you add the meaning of work and school into your life? Answer this question and we will not be going around in circles, just stop avoiding it.

Again what is the point of that morality that is naturalistic behaviour in a group for it leads a person no where and for morality is pointless then.

Its a fact an atheist life is meaningless if it has meaning then present that meaning. What I am explaining to you is it does not matter what an atheist does with his life for the end result is the same for all atheist. And that is what I have been saying from the beginning a meaningless life. Don't matter which atheist or morality to better society for atheist it is the same result a meaningless life.

What is the end goal of an atheist who lives a good moral life?

This question has been bugging me for a long time, can someone answer this question.

Why should living any sort of life involve having a goal?We just live out our days, end of.
It's like the old chestnut that comes around and around " why are we here? For what purpose? " . Some people, mainly religious people, cannot accept the reply " why should there be a purpose? ".

By going to work and school you add a purpose to life so why do you add this purpose to life?

I don't understand your question.

I don't see how I could answer it because I don't think that I add "meaning" to anything. I don't even know what you are on about. I work so I can pay my bills and eat. I don't add anything. I do my part to keep the economy rolling.

work

It may be straight forward to you but it confuses the FSM out of me. I still don't get it. Honestly I am not trying to be pedantic here, but maybe a rephrase of the question?

I cannot put it any other way. Just tell me what you think it means and I tell you if its right or wrong.
Why do you go to work and school and get married when all of this is meaningless at the end because at the end you just die?
