I'm curious to know why

Scottish people tend to use swear words as synonymy for "one" without any malice intended. For example;

A religious person = A religious bastard
Anyone = Anycunt
That man over there = That wee wanker o'er there

And so on. It's just how your post read.

Also, you neglected to take pride in where you are from.

Scottish people tend to only concern themselves with how shite where they came from is. It is generally a response mechanism of dark humour to help them make light of the low life expectancy, bad weather, and almost certain genetics of an addict.

But perhaps you are Libyan if you are a fleeing Arab. Libya and Scotland had a thing.
