serious question

The Bible is the claim, not the evidence.

Quote:But, you need to open your heart first...then the bible.

So, in other words, we have to become gullible first, then we'll believe what's in the Bible.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I opened my heart and then the bible. Made me want to barf all over the place, when I first read it consciously. As a child I didn't understand the carnage, Misogyny and dubious moral codes included.

There's a reason why Alex in Clockwork Orange loved his bible studies so much. It gave him the thrills he needed to get his rocks off.

RE: serious question
I had to go back to the first post to see the question again.

This life is a hallway.
No matter how nice your vestibule is- it is not where you spend your time.
We do not spend out life panting with baited breath about dying.

Get to enjoy the wonders of creation, it is also a glimpse of a better place.
The gold of earth is the paving stones of Heaven.

Nobody there is bored.
No one there wants to come back here.
In His presence is fullness of joy, some of us have tasted that here, but do not
live in it all the time- for now.

When you decide to have a pizza there with your friends, you don't have to cook and there is no clean-up.
Food is made of light and you do not get fat.

What do you like to do?
Wholesome activity that we do here- we do there.
I don't do sports, but for those who do, all the points played in their games go to Jesus.

All your pets you loved will be there. No poop to clean up.

Are you an artist?
You will have a gallery and delight in giving you stuff to admirers.

Do you like food craft? You can have an effortless restaurant.

Do you like roller coasters? Heaven has the best, the biggest is called "The Rush", it flies thru the air to catch the distant rails.

All your talents will be golden there and you will delight in using them.

Besides the above, quite a bit of the place is coming here for a thousand years.

This is sarcasm? Yes? Please say yes.

I thought we were talking about gods and godmen, not books? Especially books written with a socio-political agenda that also mention talking snakes and verbose donkeys.

The dragons Stimbo. Don't forget the dragons.

RE: serious question
And all the clouds are made of sugar candy and you can eat as much as you want because you never get full or sick or toothache, and you shit rainbow sprinkles and your farts smell of the sweetest strawberries. And you can fuck as many angels as you like and never get tired, and you get to stay in the vinegar strokes for ever and ever and ever and when you do decide to splooge, your spunk can talk all by itself. And they got some bitchin' mushrooms.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Speaking of which, I once considered starting the church of farts. The Lord of winds or something along those lines. The sermons would have been more interesting and the whole congregation would rejoice with their hindparts.

How do you know any of what you described about heaven in this post, please?

Hi Esq,
Some have come back when it was not their time to go, and others have gone on visit.
They tell about the place.
Paul (you know- the guy in the bible) went there once and could not express the wonders of it.

And the best part is you don't even have to die to go there. You just need to be on the verge of death (like Paul probably was) or some really good drugs.
