Women aren't the only ones who get to decide if sex happens. You need mutual agreement, not "consent" from a passive woman with no agency.

So in the space of one page in this thread you go from thinking needing consent is "harebrained and ludicrous", to saying you need mutual agreement, but not consent (which is funny because agreement=consent ), to, indeed, needing consent.

Heh. Funny. Not sure if you're a troll, or if you're trying to have a discussion, but I'll post my thoughts anyway.

I've faced sexual harassment and it's not something I wanted. When I open up about it, some tell me I'm an attention w****, others say that I enjoyed having someone "showing interest in me sexually" but I still want to give a person permission before they go ripping my clothes off or whatever. I want to give someone permission because there are forms of sex I'm completely repulsed by, and LAST thing I want is someone having those kinds of sex with me without my permission. Thus, I value consent.

Believe it or not, your post is self contradictory. What you described IS consent. You said you don't need consent to have sex, but then you said: *ahem*

That IS consent. You went on to say that agreement is different. Consent and agreement are the same thing.
