What are the evidence for no god?

Maybe it seems that way on the surface.

I see it more of a matter of denial and not wanting to know the truth perhaps and on the surface, yes pigheadness - indeed.

BUT the important thing is I think in this case it's coming from a deeper unawareness and miseducation and lack of education that is not wilful at all.

Ultimately deep down I think most people want the best for others and their bigotry gets in the way, and that is usually down to indoctrination and upbringing.

I've said it before: I think if you take away indoctrination then apart from individuals such as psychopaths and sociopaths deep down people are not cruel. I think it's the bigotry that gets in the way and no one is born bigoted. Religion is one of the biggest reasons for bigotry, it's not the only one but it is a big one.

No one is born bigoted, harm comes from bigotry.

No one is born willfully ignorant or pigheaded, just ignorant in the sense of unaware.

Ok. I have no problem.  The picture with the 2 mm on it is the human embryo while the other one is an ape embryo.  So what is your point?  They look similar.  That is not rocket science either.

Now what I would like to know exactly is where are the bones or fossils of the common ancestor of human and ape?  Why haven't they been found?  This should not be that hard of a question for you.

Took you awhile to reverse image search those didn't it?  Why do they look similar?  Why are they not vastly different?
To answer your troll question it isn't.

Do they? Reality paints a different picture. May sound callous, but ultimately they want what's best for their group. I have no patience for people like Blondie. She has expressed repeatedly how little she cares for people outside her circle. How she looks down on them and calls them all kinds of names.

No, I have no patience for people like this in real life and I certainly don't have it here. That's a bigot if there ever was one and I don't take upbringing and -for lack of a better word - education, as an excuse.

I thought on this site anything goes. Maybe in your eyes theists are the same, but there are major differences on the belief viewpoints.

o . . . k . .  .
I don't understand this response.  I was pointing out that FSM is satire.  It was created as satire. The folks that claim to be "Pastafarians" are playing it as satire, and understand the history and purpose of it.

Then you jump to "maybe in your eyes theists are the same".  Are you kidding me?  How many thousands of Xtian denominations are there alone?  All are the same? Not even remotely.  Yes, there are major differences - no consensus about what they believe.  And how did we get from "the Flying Spaghetti Monster is satire" (and understood to be satire!) to "all theists are the same in your eyes"?   What is "the same" about all theists is that they believe there is a god.  We're atheists.  We don't believe there is a god.   Or Satan, or demons, or angels, or ghosts, or Zeus or Santa Claus or Apollo, the Tooth Fairy, Yahweh or Allah, or a Flying Spaghetti Monster.  Banging Head On Desk

This isn't a difficult question, you're right about that. However, you may not like the answer.

Firstly, fossils (any fossils) are not as common as you seem to think - come to that, they aren't as common as we'd like them to be. For an organism to become a fossil, several things need to happen in pretty short order: 1) The organism has to die in the right place. It isn't a lot of good dying in an area where sedimentation doesn't occur, for what should be obvious reasons. 2) The organism has to be of body type that lends itself to fossilization. 3) The organism has to get buried before it gets eaten by another organism. Given the raft of things that need to occur, it's pretty astonishing that we have as many fossils as we do (we can attribute this to the staggeringly large number of organisms that have lived and died in the last 4+ billion years).

Secondly, you're asking for the fossils of a specific species of proto-simian (pre-primate? either one, I suppose). Given that 'species' is one of the smallest levels of taxonomy, this is fairly unlikely to happen.

Thirdly, we have universities and museums filled with - literally - thousands and thousands of primate fossils that show both ape and human traits. If you're looking for the 'missing link', we haven't got it (yet). But what we manifestly DO have is section of the primate web where the missing strands are likely to be. It may very well turn out that there isn't one missing link, but several.

All snarkiness aside, I sincerely hope this helps you understand.

Yeah - wanting what's best for their group. Once again that's a matter of bigotry. We're not born bigoted but we're often brought up that way. At our very core I think us humans are compassionate and empathetic - apart from sociopaths and psychopaths  and the like - and it is social bigotry that gets in the way.

I find it hard to have patience and I get frustrated too. But I try.

Yes I agree that upbringing and miseducation are not an excuse - but I do consider them an explanation. I'm not saying it's an excuse at all - once again, we can be against fatalism and wish to stand against matters like bigotry and cruel behaviors without having to feel any less compassion or empathy for those people as individuals with misguided motives. It is possible and the two aren't mutually exclusive Smile

Outside of flight and fight situations of survival and fighting for the survival of our loved ones and family perhaps - I think it's always possible to be against someone but still not hate them and still be capable of feeling some compassion towards them. I strive to choose the option of compassion whenever it is available - without condoning any bigoted behavior.
