Well religions are ridiculous, so what do you expect?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Apparently there were bus loads of Christians who went to the reason rally. I know a few particularly obnoxious ones from Twitter who get their ass destroyed in every debate, yet paid to go to DC because they think there are people who haven't heard the Transcendental Argument for God.

I love how the chew toys bring themselves to the reason rally for the newly deconverted to practice on in a safe environment.

I wish I had discovered apologists long before I deconverted, because my hatred of dishonesty would have resulted in a much earlier deconversion.

John de Lancie seemed to be really bitter about religous people. I mean "Christian Talibans" one of them Ken Ham. I think he really nails it down how religion keeps away people from tackling real problems like pollution

I've always said that if something requires apologetics then it's fundamentally flawed.

So much for the inerrant word of god.

Apologetics were arguably at least the number two impetus behind my deconversion. It was painful to watch the mental pretzels people were making of themselves trying to prove their belief is rationally justified.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
