LOL, he still is staggering and falling, but he still managed to get to the kitchen this morning and make himself 'obvious' and the message being, he wants some more of the canned pureed kitty food.

So, after the antibiotics, and the ear drops, he got some more glorp.

I also note, he definitely used the litterbox last night.

I had left some dry kibble out, and he hasn't got into that yet, and a handfull of his Greenies treats is scattered, but doesn't look like he actually ate any,

He's still holding his head canted to the right down about 30 degrees.

Still, he's definitely better.

he's making the attempt for doing his 'normal' routine now, IOWs, he's underfoot when I'm trying to make lunch, LOL.

Big difference today is when he tries to rub up against my ankle he falls over.

That crap was expensive too.

A bag of bladder formula dry cat food and 3 cans of 'glorp' was $50.

I'm dismayed the cat is unaware as to the dollar value in care he has absorbed for this, I'm sure after the appt. tomorrow we're going to be in the $600 range. I think he would be impressed and then endeavor to try harder at being the best cat he can possibly be.

I can't complain though, all the house cats over the years, including this one, haven't required much in the way of high dollar care.

When I was a kid, occasionally, if we had a particularly dear outdoor cat with a problem dad would vet them. He famously saved a sick kitty when I was probably 5 or 6 years old with a shot of terramycin, a product on hand for the hog operation we had then. I'm sure it was unpleasant for the cat, the vet syringe was HUGE (for using on a cat) and dad wasn't real big on hygiene when dealing with the critters here as it was futile trying to foster doctor's office cleanliness on a working farm operation.

And when the cat recovered, he was renamed 'Terry' after the med.

He lived for several years after that. I remember we came home one night from a family gathering and Terry was lying dead on the sidewalk in front of the house. A presumed kitty coronary. He wound up buried in the back yard.

I'm really glad to hear he's doing better

It's a relief.

His sudden turn for the worse several days after the first vet visit was a really rough experience.
