Different replies back for each, and how I'm looking at a Natural explanation and not a supernatural one...That's usually where their faith card is thrown out and my eyes roll, and question whether or not they have children.....

Yeah, it makes no sense. But then, the whole thing about Jesus paying for your sins makes no sense, either. Makes me think of the "whipping boys" they had in the 16th and 17th centuries. Back then, a young prince would have a "whipping boy" who took the punishment whenever the young prince misbehaved. Seems to me that Jesus is the "whipping boy" for Christians. You do the deed, but Jesus takes the punishment for you! What a deal!

Oh, you don't know how hard I was biting my tongue!

But one time I really had to control myself was when we were at a wedding a few years ago. This was in a Catholic church and the ceremony included a full mass (Oh, happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!). What REALLY got to me was when the priest told everyone that this mass "didn't count" for their weekly worship obligation. The priest said, "I expect to see all of you here tomorrow!" I had to resist the urge to shout out, "You won't see me, asshole!" Later, I was wondering why the mass conducted during the wedding ceremony didn't count towards the weekly worship obligation (and if it doesn't count, then WHY have the stupid mass?). Then it hit me.... you can't pass the plate at a wedding ceremony.

Sam, mon ami, let's start a little discussion on why their so-called 'god' keeps getting "surprised." For an all-knowing 'god' he sure seems to be upset when his little schemes keep backfiring on him.

I usually get the bullshit parable excuse, or god's plan bs etc. etc. Anyone that denies that verse at it's bluntness, can never tell me they are "Rational Thinkers"...

You could start it at Solomon, but then skip over to his fucked up kid Rehoboam......

Long story short, he strays from what god's want, get's reprimanded, and of course repents his falsehoods and then god rewards him for coming back....blah blah blah......

Of course since god is all knowing, he must of known from the start of this monarchy, greedy, bloody, wealthy clump of bullshit, that when he started with "David" (King Salomon's Father), that Rehoboam and his fucked up daddy would be all the atrocities of what "God" deemed acceptable ion the end....

There ya go, part of sky daddy's plan.....Regardless that they all murdered, destroyed, and became wealthy from their "Wisdom" in the name of "God"....

Also, don't forget the fact that Rehoboam, felt his father (Solomon) was being to soft on the workers....He added to their torture...And this is just "ONE" of his adds...(Of course those can consider this a parable, but a parable nonetheless of worse conditions)...

P.S. He didn't ask for forgiveness because of the being harsher on the workers.....It was due to not listening to what a "Prophet of God" was telling him he should do etc.

It was only then when he realized he was loosing his battle that hey repented.........
