What would you consider to be evidence for God?
RE: What would you consider to be evidence for God?
How about having all of the galaxies arrange themselves to write out the entire Catholic Bible across the sky so that everyone can real it at the same time in their own written language? And if it's Allah who is the big wig then he can have them do the same with the Koran. Likewise whichever deity is the real deal he can do the same thing with his holy book.

Or how about giving everyone a minimum IQ of 500,000?

Or how about producing the 969 year-old Methuselah?

Those would certainly be good evidence that something weird is going on.

It wouldn't tell us who or what is the cause though, if anything. Any sufficiently powerful being could produce those effects regardless of their truth. To believe the "religion" is true would become an appeal to authority; it's true because super impressive powerful being says it's true.

I doubt if the mud slime worm god on the planet Zaxpuk in the Sombrero Galaxy is going to align the galaxies to spell out the Catholic Bible or the Koran or any other holy book in every human language at once.

So you admit there is a mud slime God, and you presume to know its innermost motivations? It has a plan, and convincing everyone that a Jew on a Stick is his son while pretending he is a psychopathic toddler with super powers is just part 1.

I know this because I've had personal experiences with it while eating mud and slime.

The issue is, there is no meaningful way to discern the difference between a 'God' and a being that is not a god but has almost limitless powers. Eg this guy:

Can do everything imaginable, and everything that isn't. Still not a god. How would a theist know the difference let alone someone who doesn't use the arbitrary label of 'god'?

Exactly. I've asked for the entry level requirements for a god, and I've never had a sensible answer.

Hell I'd even accept Q as a reasonable premise for further discussion and elimination of attributes.

Doesn't seem like many theists are fans of Star Trek, though, probably too much magic. Oh lol, what am I saying.

How about pyrokinesis/telekinesis/mind reading?

Could post a site that shows you how to do it if asked

More a definition as opposed to a methodology, but in the case of mind reading and other such 'ideas', the two things are much the same.

How about them? Are these meant to be god powers? Smile I'm confused.
