What Would It Take?

RE: What Would It Take?
You don't really personally know someone unless you've actually met them.

You don't say "I personally know Kim Kardashian" because you read everything written about her.

This question is always asked of atheists, so I thought it was about time to flip the script and have the theists answer.

Thanks!

Because I know God personally, there's nothing that could change my mind.

Now THAT is scary. This is why religion is a bad force in the world. It allows people to believe something without evidence, and, even if evidence is presented against the belief, they stick to it mindlessly.

All we can comprehend about God is in the Bible.

So . . . you pretty much made my point.

Why is it that every time you believers spout off about your god and the relationship you supposedly have with it, you feel the need to re-invent English? Personally knowing someone doesn't ordinarily mean "I read about him/her in a book" (as Divinity pointed out) followed by a lifetime of confirmation bias for experiences that aren't meetings at all.

You should have been Moses' brother instead of Aaron.  Aaron knew God but he personally built a golden idol to another deity.

Or you should have been one of Jesus' apostles.  Peter denied him.  Judas betrayed him.  Thomas denied him.  Even his own family didn't believe him.  John the Baptist was his cousin but he didn't know him from Mary.

Satan knew God very well but told him to shove it.  Satan wasn't very impressed with God.

I gotta tell you, you are very special.  So what does God look like and has he given you a scoop on what's happening next?  Did he give you any special detailed building instructions like he gave Noah and Moses?  When Isaiah met God Isaiah walked around butt-naked for three whole years.

I'm sure you are honest in your faith.
And almost everything you have heard and read about Him is true.

But wait, there's more.
In fact, and I have this by direct personal divine revelation, your God is a created being. They've lied to you about this, sorry to say.
The creator of the Bible God is named Larry. I could tell you more, but you wouldn't understand it.

What would get me to convert to another religion?

A substantial piece of the action.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

I've personally met God on many occasions. A person can learn a great deal by reading about others, only way you'll learn about people of the past.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I personally have all the evidence I need, a personal relationship with the loving God of the Bible reveals the evidence.

As for the rest of you childish responses are being ignored, I have better things to do than play games with grown children.
