Planned puppy c-section day. The bitch had a prior c-section because she failed to progress with labor so this c-section was planned. Good thing too. Had 3 heart beats on ultrasound 3 wks ago. Because of the scar tissue in the bitches uterus, two fetuses couldn't get enough nutrients through the placenta. They stopped growing and died. The vet used the term "mummies". Basically dead fetuses. Good thing we had a c-section. None of the necrotic tissue/fluid from the two dead ones got into the living ones embryonic sac. The one that lived is a very large and healthy female.

WARNING!!!!! THE ATTACHED CONTAINS VIVID PICTURES OF PUPPY FETAL DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the c-section there was not a great mom/pup bond. Really wish pup didn't have to nurse every hour. Long night. Out!

Omg...CD and I were just talking about this last night. Same grade, same eclipse. I watched it at school, Wilcox Elementary NE 74th and Glisan. He was in SW.
