Is that some old Anglo-Saxon celebration of your two weeks of sunshine?

Not remotely. Buttsex lasts for like...3-4 months. How long is the BST again?

Mmhm! That's why whenever you ask for British sun cream, you either end up with lube or a facial, but never anything to prevent sunburn. Wink

read the KJV bible yourself and if you seek God and ask if He is real, He will reveal Himself to you.
but if you don't seek and blindly reject then so be it

Why are you sad? I was miserable as an atheist and I'm literally the happiest ive been now that I accepted the truth. no need to be sad over my beliefs.

I find that you know what is truth since you say im a liar

A liar is someone who, when confronted with very basic facts (like the clear knowledge that the KJV was made to suit a political and religious--the same thing, since the Church of England was the official government religion--agenda), yet continues to say the same original claim that the KJV is the only "true" translation, and all the others  have agendas. It's absurd and sad.

It's funny you should say that; I was happy as a Christian, until I realized the lies I was being told by the Church leadership, at which point I became very upset, because I am a fundamentally (no pun intended) honest person. When I realized that I no longer believed, I felt a relief and newfound sense of wonder at the world/universe around me, since I can now look at things as they are, instead of having to bend reality to fit a book's preset ideas about that world.

I don't "know what is truth" in all cases, but I'm not going to pretend I know truth when I don't, and I'll honestly admit when I have made a mistake or misunderstood something. That's intellectual honesty. So is calling a falsehood a falsehood, and a person who speaks falsehood a liar.

how can you say you were a Christian when you don't understand the gospel
its a relief to think that life was an accident?
it should be depressing to think we're all molecules in motion and nothing else
you put your faith in whatever research you found against the kjv then

Strawman much? You don't have a shred of intellectual integrity, as far as I can tell.

There's a method to my madness. Part of that method is to only have buttsex in threads where the troll starts the buttsex talk or where the troll's pathetic excuse for debate skills is so boring that my eyes glaze over and buttsex is the only cure. Angel

I do understand the gospel. But eeeeeeeeevery Evangelical Fundamentalist Christian I speak to continues to insist that I don't. It's funny; I haven't changed anything since the days when I was a Christian, and back then people in my church used to openly marvel at my understanding and ability to retain passages, and apply them to lessons. Suddenly, when I no longer think it's a holy book, but just the work of humans, without changing any of my other understandings, I now "don't understand" it.

I'm an evolutionary biologist. What's wrong with life being a cosmic accident? Seriously. I've never understood why people can't accept the simple fact that we're not special.

I have yet to meet anyone who thinks "we're all molecules in motion and nothing else". What the fuck does that even mean? If we're made of the same stuff as the rest of the universe, if we're the same as all the other living things on earth, then it's tragic? Really?

What do you mean, "whatever research I found against the KJV"? This is well-known history of how the KJV was made. This is taught at every Christian seminary in the country. My mother just retired from being a professor (department head!) at a private Southern Baptist university, and even they teach this about the history of the KJV, though they still consider it the inerrant Word of God.

You don't get to substitute your own reality, dude.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

No, but that's irrelevant. You haven't demonstrated intellectual integrity to this point, despite having ample opportunities to do so.

Do you see yet how evidence works?

they want to make the kjv look unreliable because they don't want you to read it!
there are no contradictions in the kjv

and if we are a cosmic accident then there is nothing wrong or right about anything its just our opinion. but even that is just electricity in our brain or sound waves coming out of our mouth. we might as well not exist

irrelevant / intellectual / integrity . . . oh, I think I see what the problem is here.  We're using too many syllables.  We need to be writing at a 2nd grade level.  We need a teacher standing over the troll, forcing him to re-state each argument in his own words before he answers.

Or maybe it's time to just give up and find some dirty limericks to post as responses.
