Anyone can claim to be the Son of God, but Jesus said He will show one sign and that was that He would be raised from the dead 3 days after He was killed. Jeebus also (allegedly) claimed that he would return bringing the kingdom of gawd before all of the then current generation had died. How'd that work out?!?

In the 13th(?) century, they came up with something called the Wandering Jew. Some cat who mocked Jesus on the road to Golgotha was cursed to wander the Earth until the second coming. Another legend has it that when one of his disciples pointed to another asking ""What about him?" and Jesus said, "If I want him to remain until I come again, what is that to you?" means he actually made one of his disciples into the Wandering Jew.

In Matthew 24 Jesus describes the tribulation and the rapture and his second coming, so Christians can't wiggle out of this by claiming he was referring to the spiritual kingdom when he said "It is finished." on the cross.

They also try to redefine the word generation to mean the progeny of Abraham or something like that. But those phony proselytes running around the middle east calling themselves Jews don't have the slightest biological connection to Abraham. So that won't work either.

What do you mean? Bible teaches different things to different people - that's why there are so many different versions and interpretations, leading to thousands of religions and denominations based on the same old book of self-contradictory nonsense, that can't agree on sh*t the bible "taught" them.

What it taught me - and the majority of people on this forum, I think - is that it's all horse-sh*t, made up and used by scammers in order to stupify, subdue and exploit weak-minded and ignorant people.

When Jesus' disciples asked him why he spoke in parables, he said he did it so that the people outside his inner circle would not understand and be saved.
