I'm in North Yorkshire in the UK

Why oh why do the majority of you here have to be across the pond?

Yall need to get it together and get over here.

I wish. I can't afford to travel out of my own town at the moment let alone outside of the country or across the world.

Even my mum has never been abroad.

Neither of my parents have ever been able to afford a car.

All my money that comes in every 2 weeks gets spent on the day it comes in on shopping and rent...

There is indeed a train! I went on it recently for the first time. I told my wife I was looking forward to it. She couldn't understand why, she said it was boring.

So we were on the coach, and it drove onto the train and... it felt like nothing was happening, and someone was just shaking the train from side to side. Weird and boring.

She asked me what I expected, and I said I thought we'd see out the windows, and see fish swimming underwater or something... I'm dense sometimes.

Even a train to Manchester here in the UK was way too expensive to me... I'm pretty sure France would cost more!!

My brother had to pay for the tickets to Manchester, and months in advance, when we went and saw Riverside.

There was a UK get-together thread.... but no one's interested in it...

I'll be in the UK, near Oxford, for 2 more weeks...
Next weekend, I can go somewhere...
Should I go for Stimbo @ Birmingham?
Or Rob @ Kent?
Or Evie @ Yorkshire?

Or just stay home and enjoy the view of rain on the windows?

I won't be here next weekend, as I'll be off on my holiday on Friday! I'll be in Cheltenham instead for a week, then onto Wales for a week.

Cheltenham isn't too far from Oxford... But I'm sure you don't want to spend a day of your holiday with some forum "stranger".

Stimbo or Evie... where should I go?
Traveling is no problem for me... except for the time it takes... and I'd like to go there and back again in a day.

If it was just me, I would love to! But my wife and her parents might find it rude of me. Another time would be great
