For now, i'm toying with trying to only cover my username with Unicode characters.
I'm telling
Not like i am going to do it, at least i can easily fix it if it covers the wrong areas.

Posts should be written in English and be comprised mainly of characters from the Basic Latin Unicode block. For the non-technical, these are characters that you can type on a keyboard using single key presses, or using the shift modifier. For the technical, these are Unicode characters U+0020 to U+007E inclusive. Using other Unicode characters which resemble English alphabetic characters is not allowed. This is due to limitations in some mobile applications which do not render these characters correctly.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Today, I presented my job to my eldest's 6th grade class.
It seems the kids liked it, in spite of a few struggling with sleep a bit towards the end, there...

Programming of algorithms to process data out of nuclear fusion related diagnostics...
I've done tomography of the plasma column mainly to determine where inside the vacuum vessel the plasma is and to send out a control signal to push the plasma a bit further to the middle.
And I've been doing reflectometry of the edge of the plasma, for these past 2 years, to obtain neat electron-density profiles... of which the diagnostic generates some 100 thousand for each 25 second pulse... here's a sniff:
That's the temporal evolution of an H-mode plasma with two different types of ELMs (Edge Localized Modes), the first is triggered by a pellet of deuterium injected in the plasma; the other is a standard spontaneous ELM.
(you can tell it's H-mode because, in between ELMs, the profile is quite steep and then plateaus)
Plus, I get to play a bit with this sort of toy:
On the far left roughly at middle height, there's a yellowish speck. That's the antenna that emits and receives the microwaves that allow me to generate the plot above.

Wow. You must be insanely smart to get a job like that >.>
