Personally, I'll be delighted not to have half the local news taken up with Cardinal shit every day.

NFL 2015 Predictions (Last 4 Weeks)

Broncos defense is the only one that has a chance against the Panthers.
I'd say Panthers are -6.5 in California. Any takers?

The Broncos Pats game was mostly defense, I really have not seen Brady so lacking a response, he was hit and miss all night. I did for a second think at the end, damn he might just pull it off.
Im going with the Panthers in the Superb Owl now that my bracket is kafoooey. I lost value in Peyton after finding out he shacked up with Poophead John. Still, while I think we may be able to slow them, we're not going to stop them. The offense I'm going to have to put points on the board like they haven't all year. I'd still rather go and lose than be on the outside looking in.

I think the Panthers look as good as or better than the Seahawks from SB 48. Denver has a better defense now, but the offense is lacking.
I don't think the Broncos have much of a chance. I'd kind of like to see Peyton get his ring, but I don't think it's going to happen.
One thing you can count on is pressure. The Super Bowl is the biggest stage in sports. Peyton has been there before, along with a lot of that Broncos team.
Cam is young and experiencing success for the first time in his career. That will be a factor.

That says it all really. They aren't totally to blame of course. I think at least one of the decisions to go for it on 4th down (specifically the first one) was rather stupid. We had plenty of time left to get the ball back and score a touchdown. I don't think Bellichick had much faith in our defense, which is a shame considering they were on fire in the 2nd half. I rather like Cam, he's incredibly entertaining to watch. But like you say, he's young and I hope the success doesn't go to his head and makes him cocky. The two weeks of media, the analysis, the number of viewers, the idea that he may have just one shot to get a ring, the idea that there have been only ~80 quarterbacks in the history of mankind who have reached that level. The pressure is unreal.(January 25, 2016 at 4:14 pm)SteelCurtain Wrote: Cam is young and experiencing success for the first time in his career. That will be a factor.

So with the Broncos win over the Patriots, SnakeOilWarrior has won the post season Pick'Em tournament. He currently has a 24 - 2 record, which will improve to 31 - 2 if the Broncos win.
All the other scores are decided, as none of the picks are possible anymore (3 Patriots wins, 1 Bengals). So the final ranking is: 1) SnakeOilWarrior (24 - 3 or 31 - 2) 2) Wisdom of the Crowd (20 - 3) =3) Tiberius (18 - 3) =3) Brian37 (18 - 3) 5) Cato (13 - 6) Well done to SnakeOilWarrior! That wraps up the Pick'em league until later this year, when we'll do the entire 16 game season!!! |
