For example if you want internet, your choices are typically limited.
Well, things cost money and corporations who provide the services obviously want money and fucking lots of it. Now I am pretty left-wing myself, but the Internet (as it stands and to my knowledge) is a privilege not a right. If you can't afford it, then tough luck.
Actually some constitutions already have the right to access the internet as a fundamental right. In a world where you can do almost anything trough the internet, including paying your bills, finding a job, bank transfers, buying stuff, etc - It's inevitable that it becomes a right and not just a commodity.
Also, your argument becomes invalid in cases of monopoly or when companies are owned by the same people and you don't really have a choice - Market externalities, small companies are automatically crushed, big companies remain with monopolies and screw over consumers, etc.

I can't get too upset at a small businessman even if he did hand you a bill.
It's scumbags like this piece of shit owner of the St Louis Rams who burn my ass.

Quote:The St. Louis Rams' decision to relocate to Los Angeles brought a double dose of bad news for the city's residents on Tuesday: Not only are they losing the football team they've hosted for the last 21 years, they also still have to pay for the stadium they built to lure the Rams to their hometown in the first place.
Yep, but that isn't the first time. When the Jets/Giants got their new stadium the tax payers they too were still paying for the old one. Same shit is going to happen to the teams who move to LA. The cities they leave will be left with nothing and still paying for their old digs and LA's tax payers will fit the bill for the new digs. Corporate blackmail. "If you don't give me what I wan't I will take my toys and leave".
And just before the season started this last year, I heard the Skins website asking fans what they wanted in a new stadium. I think that got nixed though.
I am fucking sick of the NFL getting away with this bullshit. They socialize the profits between teams, so please tell me why 32 billionaires need a dime from tax payers? Couldn't they pool their own money?

Truth, CL hates liberals.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I never understood what is a liberal. I believe both conservatives and "liberals" support liberalism, because both support a capitalist economy and a society build on individual rights, freedom and personal choice, even if both parties have different interpretations. IMO, if you're not anti-capitalist, you default to being a liberal because you need liberalism to support capitalism. Conservatives are much closer to liberals than with socialists, communists, 3rdpositionists and other rightists, technocrats and so on - Most of what they argue about is pointless and constitutes a minimal difference.

I don't know about hate. There are definitely some things I don't understand. Probably never will or will choose not to.

Yeah, it America both the Conservatives and Liberals largely believe in a mixed economy of both the private sector and the government. The difference between them in vastly overstated.

I don't hate the private sector. I just want to neuter it, put a bell on it and put it to work for the general good.

Lol, I was trolling of course. I'm not a very political person. Right wing on some issues, left on others, no idea on most haha.
