Also, the flashback episode where they try to figure out who got Sweet Dee pregnant and as they tell the story over the course of the episode, Dee gradually turns into an ostrich---that was fucking roll on the ground hilarious.

God dammit that show's funny.

LOL, yes! Dee's metamorphosis into full bird was hilarious. IMO, Always Sunny is one of the smartest shows to ever grace television. Its premise necessarily relies on the characters' LACK of personal growth. If any of them were to evolve up and out their emotionally stunted, narcissistic, self-serving natures the show would collapse in on its self. Fucking genius. And stronger than ever in its 11th season.

Unfortunately, I have to post this with full knowledge that some theist here will miss the satire, and think it actually supports their position, but I thought it was too good not to share.
Hope you enjoy!

what in your mind says both evolution and creation could not both happen?

'The Implication'
One of my favorite scenes from the show, EVER. The pure evil that is Dennis Reynolds, lol.

Common sense, Drippy. Something that you are painfully lacking in, unfortunately.

But Creationism does posit that humans were created in their current form. Which is patently false. Hence, mutual exclusivity.
That's just it, the bible never states that humans were created in their current form, If you remember the Bible clearly states that God made man in his own image, which was spirit. This takes place In the first chapter of Genesis, man was not given a physical form until the third chapter, which was Adam. Who by the way lived 900+ years so if anything, man devolved.

It is my position that life never had a beginning, it's always existed.
Quote:John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
You guys seem to be unable to understand how God had no beginning, yet if science states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, you're perfectly fine with it.
I'm an eternal being, therefore I have always existed, and when I leave this body I will continue to exist.
Quote:Job 38
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Evolution doesn't explain how life came to exist....
But any hypothesis that incorporates both creation via all mighty God and evolution is just ridiculously idiotic, and raises more questions than it answers. Give me one question as an example.

So, for all the rich detail in Genesis god just happened to leave out the story of how man evolved (or devolved) after creation? He just figured we'd infer it? This makes sense to you? For a guy who loves to tell stories, it seems weird that he would choose to leave out such a big one from his book.

OR, God was feeling generous that day and decided to give the evolution thing to science?

Have you actually read the bible? It tells us exactly how humans have devolved.

Exactly right. Evolution is the explanation of how life adapts to survive and thrive in various environments. It says nothing about the origin of life because that's not the question it's attempting to answer.
Seriously, all of the theists on here should take 5th or 6th grade science again.
