What's the lamest defence of Theism you've ever heard?

That's a relief.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Personal experience.

I absolutely loathe the personal experience argument.

I'll second the personal experience argument. It's well known to be the worst possible source of evidence available.

But... when you finally have a child, and you hold them in your arms, you just know!  Undecided

That toast's a bit on the dark side.

Well, the Jesus toast is probably the only piece of "art" that has his real skin tone.

I think it's one of the most stupid 'arguments' around.

"Why should I believe in god?"
"Because I had a personal experience that convinced me he exists."
"You do realize that I am not you, and thus did not have or share that experience, right?"
"...can you just believe anyway based on how passionate I am about it?"
"Uh, no."

Mine wasn't so much of a defense as it was a plea to "just believe" in spite of the lack of evidence for god and all that we know to be true.

Personal experience is fine (although face palm worthy) when used as a defense of one's own supernatural beliefs. But when you expect someone else to believe also, based on your anecdotes, you may as well sprinkle flour around and claim it's fairy dust.

I remembered this one, which I even did a video about a while back:

"I find the prospect of no afterlife unacceptable."
