Not a glorious episode in the history of feminism. But an illustrative one.

Didn't really work for the men, did it?

I remember some post-apocalyptic movie from the 70's that featured carnivorous, armor-plated cockroaches. If that doesn't give you nightmares....
Joe's Apartment is another great film about them, but you'll come out loving the little fellas

Sounds like a take on the old movie, "Willard".
Great remake was done a few years ago, starring Crispin Glover.

Sye Ten and his "brain in a vat" nonsense.
I've recently grown rudimentary legs and am now making the move from water to land.

The endless shifting of goalposts... that's what gets to me the most... both globally/historically and individually. When they can no longer fight the findings of science, they just assimilate it, and move onto something else. Ugh. First there was the soul in the 'black box' of the head. Then came along neuroscience and mind could be related to brain function. Still clinging onto the soul but reducing its responsibility. Then the latest one... 'well even if the mind is totally explained by the brain, there's still the spirit'... and me thinking 'what???? you've never mentioned that before'. Ugh... it drives me insane... I wonder what will come after spirit

Ah, just looked that up... not quite I think. This was a light-hearted comedy, where they saved him somehow. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I think they wanted to stop him getting evicted because of the way he lived (Jerry O'Connell - the guy from Sliders). Pizza everywhere etc was their idea of paradise. So they do a bit of matchmaking and singing and dancing etc and it comes out as a very strange, feel-good movie, but still kinda gross, especially when they're kind of swarming Ah yes, I remember... the film was based on an MTV video (I think).

Man supposedly made in God's image but with God exhibiting all the worst aspects of human nature... jealousy etc... all through the Old Testament. Hardly a perfect being.
