We/Our souls were indeed those who were cast out? What if we are those followers of Satan/Demons.

What if...

Our time here on Earth away from the known glory of God is a final test designed to show us where our hearts lie. With God or in rebellion with Satan?

Those born in this life all begged for a second chance to show where our allegiance truly was, and this life was that chance???

*You somehow learned how to talk to people?
*You became aware of the fact that you expect fully grown adults to believe in magic?
*You managed to grow the balls it takes to admit that you can be wrong on occasion?
*You recognized that it appears as if you serve no master but your own ego, which in turn, makes you appear to be the least sincere and least credible proselytizer on these forums....and thereby, the least effective?

And then...

Don't you mean, "what if the Biblical "God" and "Satan" characters actually existed, and then they followed this non-Biblical "fan fiction" story I'm making up?"

Yeah, then the rest of your story would be really cool! Or it would really suck. Not sure what you're getting at...

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
