Really? Let's see how this plays out.

A major investor in the Republican Party sees a chance to snatch back the nomination.
Quote:Republican strategist Alex Castellanos explained how this would happen: “[I]f Mr. Trump is one hundred or more votes away from the nomination, it is unlikely he can find the delegates to get the ball in the end zone on the first ballot. He will turn the ball over on downs though nearly at the goal line. (OK, no more sports metaphors.) On the second ballot, he drops 200 or 300 votes or more and starts bleeding. Ultimately, he bleeds to death on the convention floor — which you think would be good news for the candidate in second place, Senator Ted Cruz, unless, of course, you’ve met Senator Ted Cruz. If GOP delegates start looking for an alternative to both Trump and Senator Cruz, why settle for Miss Ohio when you could marry Miss America? Why not wipe the slate clean and go for what delegates really want, the Republican Speaker?
Ryan’s links to the Kochs go back a long way.

It would backfire radically. Trump's predictions of riots would come true. It would very possibly end the Republican Party. Making a move like that would NOT be conservative. It would be radical.
I hope they do it.

I don't think they care. They are perfectly willing to take their ball and go home rather than let an outsider take the ball for himself. And Cruz is almost universally hated.
This is about control...not politics.

All I know is that it's looking like a good Democratic year at a time when the SCOTUS is up for grabs for decades. Win in November and this old man can die in peace.

What are the numbers of Ryan vs either Democrat?

I could not find any recent polling. Probably because Ryan insists he is not running.

It can't go on indefinetely. These corporations want to produce their products as cheap as it gets. But they want to sell them in the West. Widespread poverty is on the rise here. In my country it already broke the 10 percent mark and in Germany, if I recall the numbers correctly, 50 percent of the population doesn't pay income tax because they earn so little that they don't qualify to be taxed.
So, with less people being able to buy, the consumer base is melting away like ice in the sun. Give it another one or two decades, and the business model of outsourcing won't pay anymore.
That's why most countries in the west have moved towards debt fuelling consumer spending, even in many cases for the simple necessities of life.

Jeezes! You're nuts, Min.
The problem isn't the grusome twosome per se. There will always be dickweeds like that. Kill them and two more will take their place. Nature abhors a vacuum and all that. The problem is the system which allows them to thrive. I think the you and Sterben overstate their power though. I think that kind of pessimism is counterproductive. It's a self-fulfilling prophesy. If you think these dickheads have the power to shoot down any good you might do, you aren't likely to bother doing much good. Thank goodness for guys like Elon Musk who will shove it down their throat - whether they like it or not. I wish I could afford to buy one of his Model 3 cars. He deserves all our support.
If you're depending on the likes of Musk to rescue you, you may just as well top yourself now, and spare yourself from the agony. He's no different than the Kochs and will lead you down the garden path just as callously and immorally.
