What's "alternate coloring"?

Does this mean that the each of the horizontal rows in the online box have alternating colors (like gray, white, gray, white, gray, white, etc.)? Just want to make sure.

Quite frankly, if I may. I am well versed in forum themes and coding. The color scheme on the names is so subtle that it is hard to tell sometimes who is a member and who is a mod.

I can paste some hexdec color codes as ideas if anyone is interested.
