Missing Quick Reply Box

So I can't see the reply box at the bottom of the page anymore. The relevant option is still checked. 

Any ideas what it might be?

You are missing the quick reply box because the "Show the quick reply box on the view thread page" option is unset in your User CP.

I did tinker around with it after it dissappeared, but I made sure that was not the cause. To witness, I just checked the box back on. Nothing changed.
