I know they have spray on hair colors but I couldn't find any. I even went to Walmart, which I never do, nothing. And they were like "what about these mom??" So I told them it would take a long time and it would smell nasty and they would be miserable. But they insisted. So I told them that it would last for a couple months probably and they were fine with that. So I was like what the hell, why not?

If they wanted it and there's no rules against it at school, then you're the type of mom that lets her kids express themselves within reason.

Well yes, there's that. Hehe. Among mom groups, one of those moms refers to the kind of mom who lets her kids do things that make our job as a good mom more difficult. It's only ever used sarcastically in any mom group I'm willing to hang out in. Though we all secretly draw our own lines for what a real one of those moms would be. Like I would say, a mother who lets her kids play in the street is one of those moms, if I said things like that. I try not to though

Just noticed your avatar change, C172, and I have to rant for a moment:

I got a phone call the other day at work from a local Cystic Fibrosis charity and, I'm not kidding, their opening line was "Are you prepared to be arrested?" and then this woman proceeds to describe how this CF charity is "arresting" people around the metro area as part of a donation drive - she described how they had my name on their records (how they got it they didn't say ) and that they were going to send an "arresting officer" (a real police officer participating in the event) to my office to "arrest" me AT WORK - and that I needed to hit up my coworkers and friends for "bail money" to bail me out of "jail."

The woman on the phone gave me this super fake, bubbly laugh and said, "Isn't this fun?!?!?" and I hung up on her.

I stayed on the phone with her for so long simply due to the "WTF?" I was experiencing as she was describing this insane routine they were supposedly going to put me through.

What ever happened to "Good morning, I'm with [Name of Charity] and would like to discuss how [disease] affects residents in your area and how a donation from you might assist them."?

FFS, PetCo doesn't threaten to arrest me if I don't donate to local animal shelters.

That's creepy! I'd have done the same (possibly in both scenarios you mention). 

I have had (and lost) a few friends to CF. So I kind of "own it" more than I feel any connection to cancer, which is a bigger charitable cause (and more fashionable to donate to).
