No, I believe in free speech, which I chose to use to voice my opinion on your countries gun laws. I never called anyone stupid or insulted them for their (often opposing) opinion, on gun culture, attitudes or laws. And I certainly never disagreed with your rights to own guns. I actually agreed. YOU were the one who told me my opinion didn't count just because it opposed yours.

First of all, I wasn't referencing anyone's posts when you erupted on me - especially not yours. I am also aware that you DID INDEED partially defend our gun laws. I do support freedom of speech and if you re-read my posts this will be painfully clear to anyone. I stand by the fact that my rights in my country do not concern foreigners and tomorrow when you are no longer drunk and stoned you can re-read your own posts and find that you DID INDEED insult people and did protect your own freedom of speech while protesting others. haha, the whole not using our language or watching that film (which I have never seen) was clearly used in jest at the comments from the other guy about not watching American films just because I didn't agree with the gun culture in the states.

Brown ale? Not a fan of the drink but they did sponsor the football (soccer) team I fell in love with as a child, Newcastle united. I actually have a bottle with a Sell by date of April '97 that was bought for me as youth because of the team I supported. That's vintage shit!!!

I completely agree, poor word choices as stated above, I did not attempt to explain myself whatsoever when I made the statement. Also I thought that I could shed some light on to why I said it.

I didn't mean to call you a more sohpistacated, aristocratic kind of people. I was trying to say that the british believe they are for some unknown reason to me. I obviously left some typo's, sorry for the confusion. (does it make sense now, I really should stop posting at 4-5am) I Don't sleep much though, I suffer from insomnia.

common Zen, first of all, the point you're "picking on" was not remotely at the heart of my point.
Secondly, I think any army would at least consider the fact that the army they are fighting has an additional 100 million armed civilians on their home front. And as for the John Wayne remark - I would remind you that it was nothing but farmers and pig ranchers that fought the war for our independance and won ... not a well-trained army.
And again none of that even matters because that was just a small random point about why Americans want to keep their right to bear arms. Why not mention the other points? And do you want the American people to lose yet another right? What's so wrong with the right to own a gun? I own several - I have no wish to shoot anyone - ever. Why shouldn't I be allowed to own a gun?
