Where did science originally come from ? Something Unusual maybe ?

RE: Where did science originally come from ? Something Unusual maybe ?
Come on, LP, you know the way we do things here. If you think anyone has broken the Rules - and I capitalise the word to emphasise how prominently I take them - then do what we as Staff would have to do anyway and report them.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Come on, LP. There's no need for that.

There is, what if instead of answering you, I post multiple times the same "see my answer above" reply. I retracted my big pussy remark. They have become however, big wusses. Big Grin

Hell, even Drich is a more valuable member as he posts his mind and tries to participate in the discussion.

Actually I agree. Doesn't automatically make this guy a rulebreaker by comparison, though.

I guess there's no praise for Einstein.

Had Einstein wasted his time posting pointless drivel on a message board he would, today, be unknown.

Sure, it would be easy enough for me even to make this forum the younger brother of youtube comments by staying on the fine line. It has broken rules. The no spam eg " person x, look my above answers" and the no trolling rule, and mocking the mods by using green font after a mod replied to him.

No skin off my nose, I can ignore threads. By the looks of it, if this infection spreads, not me, but other valuable members might think twice before going trough the trouble of signing in and find another place more.... civilized.

And yes, I apologize my ex staff fellows, pussies is a sexist term. Perhaps big wusses is a better description.

You know what's cute, you were on staff you know how things work, and yet you have not made a single report. Could it be that you cannot find any specific instances of rule violation Thinking

The dude is annoying, it's not a banable offense.

Luckily for me...

Do you think it's fair to accuse people if you can't prove it ?

What may you think proves what you said in this ? Burden of proof.

//I don't know what he's getting out of this.

But he's sticking to the rules for now. If he isn't, please report him.//

I don't mean this arrogantly.

Do you think there should be a rule which says don't accuse/assert if you can't prove it ?

If you continue like this I may choose not to answer you if I think it's not to our advantage.

Yeah, I forgot we canned the prime directive long ago. Mea culpa, carry on with what you are doing here. Seems fruitful. Like arguing with LR. Or a rock.

Do realise that there might be other members here that are not so happy about having their long replies discarded by a "see my above reply" post. Those will leave, perhaps to find a place where more serious discussion happens. I guess everyone is fine by derailing the thread into rock crushing jokes and one line snicker comments.

Just my 2 cents. I will probably post something later on the suggestion subforum about this, unless I forget.

Carry on, with whatever high level talk this thread was about.

@TK
Funny how you don't mean to seem arrogant but still you come across that way, isn't it? I wonder if the answer's above somewhere?

@LP
Is your report button broken? If so we can fix it.
