Indeed, and even though our situation, in that regard - actually -is- a giant shit sandwich, whereas the UK EU membership was not....I'd have to confiscate the pipe from anyone who thought that we should secede from the union on account of it.  They'd clearly had enough to smoke already.

Its not about whether something is legal or not, it is about banning advertisements of a legal substance.

But not just the legal substance that is banned from promotion, but also the device that MAY BE used to use the legal substance, regardless of whether it is used for that substance ....

There's no point in advertising here, if you don't belong to their protection racket you still can't sell it, no matter what the state laws are concerning its criminal status are...and possessing -enough to sell- is thoroughly illegal regardless. Trafficking.

When our illegitimate daughter was born in the Netherlands to me UK and my partner Southern Irish the Dutch refused to register her birth and blamed the UK bastard laws .... 

She was stateless for seven years until the ECHR got involved ...

We could not enter the UK or Southern Ireland with our daughter and had no right to stay in the Netherlands ...

We wondered Europe crossing borders illegally with our daughter until it was sorted ....

We were called "crazy people" because we wouldn't marry to put their mistakes right ....

Maybe I am, but my principles are important, I have never been good at being told how to think or act when I have done nothing wrong

In one scenario you're making life uncomfortable for your own family. In another you're making life uncomfortable for a lot of people. Vote however you like. It's just...smoking ads is a stupid stupid reason. That's just my opinion. I mean, smoking and vaping are both unhealthy. They're both legal. People who do them already know where to get them. People who don't don't need the ads either. Getting in a huff about it is fine, leaving the EU over it would be completely ridiculous. I assume most people didn't vote for this reason, but I probably have put too much faith in humanity once again.

Still from what I can see it was a bunch of old people being like "Britain is the best country ever we don't need no durn EU" and to that I can only say that British have more in common with Americans than they'd like to admit. Still, if we'd left for religious freedom and you guys left for vaping I would say we win. Lol
