Nobody did that, far as I am aware. I even said that most of the leavers aren't racists, but people being afraid for their livelihood and falling for pied pipers selling their snake oil.

I was trying to get across the point, if you go back to what was originally said: that "there's fucking loads" of people who voted leave because they hate immigrants, that it's not actually as easy to identify these people as you'd think. Your argument should have been over the use of the phrase "fucking loads" then, because that's not an actual figure.

An even better argument would be that anecdotal examples are useless. A person might meet 100% racist leave voters, but that doesn't mean 100% of leave voters are racist.
