I'm not afraid of terrorism, are you?

So you're saying the US Government goes through an 18 month vetting process for 70k refugees a year for show?  Is that something you really believe?

Michael McCaul, the Republican chairman of the House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee, said at a hearing that authorities have identified about 40 violent militants who had attempted to enter Europe posing as refugees.

Also article says US has rejected 30 refugees thus far, and likely more will be rejected.

(Obviously, questionable source, but the idea is not lost on them, clearly)

Washington Post article behind paywall:

SALZBURG, Austria — On a crisp morning last October, 198 migrants arrived on the Greek island of Leros, all of them seemingly desperate people seeking sanctuary in Europe. But hiding among them were four men with a very different agenda.

The four were posing as war-weary Syrians — all carrying doctored passports with false identities. And they were on a deadly mission for the Islamic State.
Two of the four would masquerade as migrants all the way to Paris. There, at 9:20 p.m. on Nov. 13, they would detonate suicide vests near the Stade de France sports complex, fulfilling their part in the worst attack on French soil since World War II.

Weren't you just describing the difficulties faced in that process...not but a few posts ago?  They have no background, shoddy id, little to no corroboration.  They rely, largely, on the candidates testimony about themselves.  Sure, they make a big deal about it.  That they spend a year and a half listening to a refugee tell stories about himself......but what does that sound like to you?

Mystifyingly........it doesn't seem as though terrorists are slipping through that oh so well constructed net, to present a real and statistically significant threat to you.

I'm not remotely afraid of terrorism. What I'm afraid of is Donald Trump becoming president and starting a nuclear war.

I am only afraid that gov will use terrorism as justification for curtailing a freedoms. Terrorism itself is no threat in Poland.

You also have a treaty in which you agree to defend NATO member states, and Mr. Trump has already said that doesn't mean much to him.

Great. Now I'm going to have nightmares about either: a) terroristic spiders or b) weaponized spiders used by terrorists.

Thank you very fucking much.

At least he didn't mention the spiders eating through your skull and laying eggs in your brain.
