Do you not feel though that hijacking the US BLM movement, where the is patently not an issue of the indiscriminate killing of black people by the police in the uk, adding a bunch of other isms and phobias, again that would not appear to be an issue in the uk, is not trivialising the US BLM? I could understand it if they were trying to raise awareness of the issues in the US, showing solidarity etc, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I can't speak to what the UK folks are doing it for. I don't live in the UK, and it would be difficult to know what black life is like in the UK without a POC from there telling us. I doubt it's a non issue, but I can accept that it is less serious than it is here in America.

Attitudes towards BLM without knowing the context of what they are doing is what I'm trying to combat. There is a rich, deep history of successful civil disobedience and disruption in my country. It works. Unfortunately, the attitudes towards the.movements are always the same.

There's definitely less racism towards blacks here in the UK than in America. I think the worst racism by far in the UK is towards Hispanic people who all get labelled as "Pakis" by racists.

However there's still more racism towards blacks than whites.

It's just that if you ask a lot of white people here in America if there is racism against blacks, they'll say pretty much the same thing.

It depends where in the UK of course.

There's definitely far more racism to blacks than to whites here. Hence why there's not much less assaults to black people despite 80% of the country being white...

But the racism against so-called "Pakis" is fucking everywhere. Anyone remotely brown gets labelled a "Paki" Muslim Immigrant Terrorist and gets told "go back where you came from" by so many fucking racists.
