Something bothers me about the video in fact. He starts the video with a typical Islamic salute, yet he titles the video "why I left Islam." If he had left Islam, he would be greeting us with a redneck "howdy."

I know what his problem is.

First and foremost, his accent is really pissing me off. I thought he was an American, because he doesn't sound like one. Secondly, if he knew about all that goes on within Islam, why on earth did he stay there for nigh-on 15 years. Was he that oblivious to reason and logic? All he had to do was do some research on the subject before joining. As for being an apostate, he made his bed, he lies in it. Joining an extreme religious group wearing blinkers and not listening to any reason from friends or family gets you into a whole load of trouble.

Robet, there's another thing bothering me more than the possible background of this video. And that's entirely unrelated. You said you wanted to present something to a relative suddenly turning religious. Don't take my word for it, but it won't work in all probability, however convincing it may seem to you. He will only get all the more defensive because his believes are attacked from the outside. Rubbing something into the face of others seldomly works.

Did I really say that......? My bad Abaris. I would have liked to in all honesty but you know what, it is no longer any of my business. It's his 3rd religion I think (conversion), and the best way for people to learn and understand is to let them face the consequences should they arise. This is what I alluded to in my last post.
