Can I just say, and I'm just being honest...
RE: Can I just say, and I'm just being honest...
WOW!

I've never played that game and I can't because it's not available for my laptop but WOW, knowing that game or not, I'm ALWAYS impressed by world records.

You KICK ASS Rob. First you're amazing at World of Tanks Generals (is that the name of the one that is the card game?), and certainly one of the best (I miss playing that with you), and now you're the WORLD RECORD!

Shock

My dream, my dream, as an adolescent and young adult, was to be number one at a computer game... my dad pushed and pushed me to be like that because he basically wanted me to be #1 in the world at whatever I enjoyed. Even when I just wanted to enjoy it.

Since I learned, from CD mentioning it and myself Googling it, what a helicopter parent is... I realize my dad was the most helicoptery parent I've ever known including by proxy.... but anyways, yeah, it's ironic that I would have certainly had a far far far far better chance at succeeding if he hadn't have pushed me so hard to 'win tournaments'.

Well, we each have that capacity, don't we? If you wish to think of that as "subhuman" -- with all the historical baggage that entails -- I can't stop you. But I'm not saying that, at all. I'm saying that humans have the capacity for both the angelic and the monstrous, and furthermore, I'm not singling out any person, at all, from those capacities. You, me, Mother Teresa, Ivan Boesky, Angelica Friar -- we all carry the potential for great good and great evil inside us.

A human monster is anyone who offends me. Smile

I think he's almost one and about as close as you can get... but that's because I'm defining a 'human monster' as subhuman and I don't believe in such a thing. I think he's about as close as you can get to one because he genocided millions of people like they were monsters. But yeah, Hitler is a classic example of a 'human monster', although I personally wouldn't call anyone a monster.

Well, you're free to define a term as you wish, as am I. Me, I regard anyone who consigns eleven millions to death as a monster. And sadly, not the biggest monster in human -- repeat, human -- history. I'm content to let the readership decide.

Agreed. Of course I don't think of it as subhuman which is why I have consistently said that I don't Smile Including in the paragraph of mine that you're quoting Smile

I know Smile

I know. I just asked for your definition of a "human monster" Smile

Quote: You, me, Mother Teresa, Ivan Boesky, Angelica Friar -- we all carry the potential for great good and great evil inside us.

I agree.

Hehe, thank you for your defintion Smile

Quote:Well, you're free to define a term as you wish, as am I.
I agree. That's why I asked for your definition because I had given my own already Smile

Quote: Me, I regard anyone who consigns eleven millions to death as a monster.
I regard them as a monster too in your sense that I have come to understand after reading this post of yours but not in the sense of the definition I use which is 'subhuman' but you don't regard them subhuman either because you don't define a monster as subhuman.

Quote:And sadly, not the biggest monster in human -- repeat, human -- history. I'm content to let the readership decide.

I'd say that if intentions are taken out of the picture the writers of the Bible and the Koran are the biggest monsters in human history (going by your definition; I don't believe in human monsters by my own definition). I'd say if intentions are put into the picture perhaps someone like Genghis Khan was the biggest monster in human history. (once again: going by your definition; I don't believe in human monsters by my own definition)

CIJS...

I wish I had the guts to say this in person, but I know what a shitstorm it will cause, so I feel safe here, where you'll never know.... That's what makes this message bittersweet. The fact that you don't know it actually exists and you really should be told, but at the same time I feel loads better for being able to write it out and get it "off my chest" without you knowing, so to speak. Sadly, you will never recognize how utterly pathetic you are. Always clamoring for some sort of attention - good or bad. You just crave it. And you don't care what you have to do to get that attention. You aren't funny anymore. You're more like an annoyance - the fly that no one can kill because you're too fast. Well - I give up on trying, but I take heart, knowing that eventually even flies have to stop flying sometime. So, for now, I'll continue to watch you make a fool of yourself, all the while, knowing that you don't know that I know all about you and your lies. And even if you did know that I know - I still wouldn't care about your feelings.

I am not your friend. I cannot be friends with someone like you. You are a liar. You are a manipulator. You are a cuntbag. You walk all over people and don't expect to have to suffer the consequences of your actions. You are a piece of shit and the lowest form of low a human being can get. You cause people hurt and you don't give a flying fuck about that. You trick people into believing your side of the problem, never mentioning the part where you went wrong. You never apologize and mean it. Your apologies always, always, always come full of excuses. Sincerity means squat to you. You take true friendships and throw them away like yesterday's trash and then you whine when those true friends no longer want anything to do with you.

I used to think you were a decent person. But over time, I have come to see what a pathetic, pile of shit you are. You attempted to cause a division. It worked on some of our friends, but on those of us who were smarter than to fall for that manipulative crap - we steered clear. And one more thing - I no longer care about your stupid reputation. You created this mess. You deal with it. Like a fucking grown up. Own your shit and stop acting like things are okay when we both know they aren't. Enough of the act already. The people you think are your friends... aren't your friends. It's just that no one really cares to waste any precious energy telling you that so we let you continue your charade. But in reality - we're really laughing behind your back. Why? Because you deserve it. You caused that much harm with your fakeness and your bullshit, that you deserve nothing less than that, which is mild considering all the damage you've caused. You should be so lucky that you're getting off so easily.

For me, personally, I'm finished with you. I cannot continue to put on an act of niceness when I really just want to bite your head off. If I ever get the courage to tell you this in person, I will. Perhaps I will have the group of friends with me that I need to, so we can all walk away from you, together.

Agreed. Look at how many innocents are hurt or killed by the famously non-killing Batman; all to no avail anyway, since every villain he catches (or kills) would be released because of lack of due process.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I'm pretty sure you've said that you don't like calling someone "monstrous" because you think of that as subhuman:

Probably a good idea to start a thread if you wish to discuss this any further.

Yeah I suggest a new thread or a split. But as you can see I didn't say what you said I said at all so I'm not backing away from anything Tongue
