I love the light in these, you glorious bastard.

I plan to do Roxborough again in the early am. The lighting is so much more dramatic when the sun is full on the eastern face of the formations.

Hmmm... Maybe I'll wait until we get our first really good snowfall. A good snow changes the look of the park dramatically. Of course, we've got color in the trees right now so maybe very soon.

What a wonderful assortment of "problems" to have, eh?

I realize just how lucky I am Thump. So far, all the photos I've posted here from various hikes/park visits have been in my own back yard, so to speak. None have been a drive of more than an hour or two. There are three more national parks and at least 30 more state parks (not counting local preservation areas, recreation areas, etc...) that I've yet to explore. Yellowstone is an easy weekend trip away and a lot of Wyoming's natural beauty is within day trip distance.

The Rockies anf the areas around them are as varied as they are beautiful, so as long as I'm able to keep getting out to photograph them, you guys can keep expecting photos of them from me.

Looking forward to them, bud!
