I love doing the work itself. Also, getting the job was such a pain that I'm still really grateful that I have it - I'm sure that'll change over the years as I grow complacent and/or disillusioned...

I hear you Alex - I used to love my work, but after 17 years in the same place, with essentially the same job - I'm pretty disillusioned. (though what "same job" meant has morphed a bit over the years.)

I'd like to retire, but that's still years off.
