Interesting survey of Evangelical beliefs in USA

RE: Interesting survey of Evangelical beliefs in USA
Were they asked to answer from a set of 5 discrete options?  If so (and I'm assuming so, because of the smoothness of the curve), why are the results shown as a continuous curve?
What is that circle graph at the top of the page even showing?  Nothing is labeled in either axis. Huh

The questions are poorly worded, and their conclusions are obnoxiously biased.
If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?

I remain amazed (thunderstruck even) how so much basic Religion 101 stuff is totally mysterious to people of faith.

When some religious folks talk about "The way" do some other folks ever correct them by saying "The ways" ??

That these various interpretations and edits of God's Word are deemed equal or superior to God's Word is utter apostasy. And then these apostates come here and shill for their particular brand (bad) or as we see for example in post 9, multiple schims/denoms (WORSE !!!), and think they are going to sway anyone just boggles the mind.

God is not smiling on their endeavor.

Ooops, endeavors.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Since I claim to be one to take on all questions, I'll take the very first question from the survey or any others that anyone wishes and I'll tell you what I think.  Jesus never spoke of his followers in terms of religion.  He spoke of his followers and those who were not his followers.  So in truth, Jesus never stated whether or not God accepts the worship of say, Buddhist, or of any religion.  What he did say is that God desires a pure heart, which is a heart that truly seeks him.  So the issue isn't what religion a person is, but whether the worshiper is a seeking him with a pure heart.  That Buddhist who is worshiping may be seeking him and may, in fact have found him, but has never read the bible or heard the name of Jesus.  God may have plans to lead him to read the bible eventually, but we're all at different points in our journey toward God.

Some christians view faith in Christ as a religion.  They follow him, and he lives in them.  They have salvation through Christ, to which the bible probably has led them, but they have different thoughts on the issue of God accepting the worship of other religious members.  This doesn't mean that the bible has taught them wrong, but rather that it is silent as to the specific issue that is being brought up by the question.  I believe he would accept their worship if their hearts were pure, but others who don't think that a person can know Jesus without knowing his name, think God won't accept their worship.

Of course there is only one right answer to the question, but that's okay. We two disagreeing christians both have Christ, and God is either accepting the worship of people of other religions or he is not, no matter what we ourselves believe.

So the issue isn't what religion a person is

There's a biggee

Right. Not the primary issue.

Because if god were real and all powerful like you believe he is, it would therefore follow that he would ensure that there was only a single faith to follow.

He did ensure there is only a single faith to follow and that is Christ.

Then he is one piss-poor communicator.  One would expect more from a "god."

You need to wash the dirt out of your ears Mini. Then maybe you'll be able to hear him.
