My wife only refers to me as "daddy" to our dogs; not in the bedroom, not swinging from the chandelier, not in the shower, nor over the back of the sofa. Ever. For our children, it's "your father".
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Well not all of us have a thing for little girls, let alone our daughters. I don't blame him. It has never come up for me and I'm not sorry. So saying "daddy" isn't as weird to me.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

My husband is pretty neutral about it. If you think about it though, we call our SO's "baby" and it doesn't mean we are literally attracted to babies, or that we view our SO's as parents when they call us that. It's the same thing with the daddy thing I think.

Unless you're a twink with an older man fetish, you shouldn't be saying daddy.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

you might have a point there . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I have a daughter and the mother of my daughter has called me daddy a few times and it kind of has a sexy appeal to it but in a wholesome family way.
Like, you're the daddy, the man, a provider and all the rest. The mother of my daughter is my ex girlfriend so the situation is complicated. But I still remember now when my daughter was born and I had to leave the room at one point and my ex said "seeya later daddy" with a huge smile on her face and it was kind of sexy/funny. It might be difficult to understand why it would be funny or sexy to me for people outside of the situation. But I didn't expect her to say it. I've been called daddy in various kink situations a long time ago but it's not something I ever aimed for. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. |
