Crazy can be attractive and sexy, but part of that is the whole 'playing with fire' bit. Crazy may be fun, but stable it most assuredly is not. Even then, what our mass media portrays as fun crazy people is a far cry from dealing with someone with very real mental health issues.

Captain Jack Sparrow, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are fun; but they're not representative of reality. Although as an aside, my personal favorite (fictional) 'crazy girl' is Therese Voerman (and her split personality Jeanette Voerman) from the PC game Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines; wherein she is a from a particular clan of vampires (the Malkavians) whose distinctive trait is their collective mental unsoundness. In Therese's case it comes to a head in a confrontation between her two personalities wherein she's ends up pointing a gun to her own head, and your decisions can lead to either personality permanently ending the other or reconciling their differences.

A hint of crazy can be fun, if you feel safe that deep down the person is stable when needed. You know, freakishly crazy, yet stable.

When speaking of an actual behavioral health challenge that is not being controlled and is being triggered by irrational perceptions of anything (relationships, ideas, motives, etc.), then you have yourself a problem. When someone is actually stalking you, it's not sexy. When a person believes they are in a relationship with you even after you have repeatedly stated the contrary, there's a problem. When a person believes you are conspiring against her/him when in fact, you have tried to ignore the person for the longest time, that's a scary thing. When a person threatens you, because... you don't understand, this is real love, run! I love working with behavioral health challenged people, but when the person struggling with a challenge is triggered by emotions related to me... I think it's clear their is conflict of interest, safety concerns, and progress interruptions, and my help is no longer required. I always thought that as a friend, I had to stick around to help a friend even if this person began to act irrational and insane towards me, but I have discovered that to think I can be of any help when I am a trigger is also irrational.

For a person to behave crazy in all the right ways can be sexy. For a person to actually be crazy should be a concern.
