In all seriousness though. I see in it what I lack. Solace. I envy 'spiritual people' and some religious people. I wish I could feel that comfort, but my mind won't let me. I can't buy into it no matter how much nicer it would feel.

That's it, really. You can't drag yourself into fantasy, fun though it may be.
It's like being drunk. You move a little bit away from reality, and enjoy the "freedom" this gives you. But this stuff only works if you really believe it. And most people here are sceptics who don't, because they believe in the scientific method. It comes down to whether you care about what is true, or what makes you feel good.
