Yeah, no. This is like blaming the engineer for killing the suicide on the tracks when you and I both know the goddamned train cannot slow down that quickly. The blood of those victims losing their health insurance is on the hands of those Congressmen who vote for ACA repeal ... and on the hands of the voters who installed them. Period.

The GOP really won.
They managed to convince people that whatever they do, it's the democrats fault.
Take a look at V - fact that the democrats (who are they?) don't actively advertise their new winning strategy (isn't that what Trump does?) by running it by him means shits fucked.
Truly it is genius - all the power and none of the responsibility. Just "blame democrats".

Well the dems did push a piece of shit that was married to another piece of shit that wanted to cut and privatize social security.
Then said piece of shit got NAFTA passed in turn also signed in other things that deregulated wall street which led to a economic collapse.

Oh come off of it. People lost their jobs?
People lose their jobs all the time!
NAFTA, faults aside, introduced new jobs while destroying others. Like every other trade treaty, it added some and lost some.
Still, that's your reason? So if the old and the young die because they don't have health care due to the 2017 GOP Congress, that's the democrats fault because something something NAFTA?
I don't buy it.

You guys are trying to blame the democrats for the stupidity of the electorate. I'm not buying it either. We had a national brain fart and he is now driving us over the cliff.
Meanwhile, in the world of reality....

Quote:The ANA, representing over 3.6 million nurses, is hardly the only major stakeholder drawing this conclusion. The list of organizations that have come out against the Republican plan has grown quite quickly, and includes the American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association, AARP, the American Cancer Society, and the American Psychiatric Association, among others.
Even America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the powerhouse trade association for private insurers, isn’t happy.
But the republicunts still expect us to reject what experts in the field have to say and listen to them and their lying corporate whore masters.
Quote:And now with the debate over “Trumpcare” under way, the circle of sources deemed untrustworthy by Republicans has grown even larger, to include doctors, nurses, seniors’ advocates, hospital administrators, and insurers.
We are, evidently, supposed to believe Paul Ryan, Donald Trump, GOP officials, and no one else. I’m skeptical this will work out well.

Min, who do you want to blame? Blaming the electorate, stupid as it may be, doesn't cut it. They don't vote Republican just because while liberals stay at home. This should have been a slam dunk for every serious counter strategy, given that assclown. But no, they just sat back, didn't campaign in certain states, more or less flipping them their middle finger. And now they're all butthurt because they've lost everything. The houses as well as the presidency.
A challenge has to be a challenge. Sitting back and waiting offers none. So if they don't come up with something appealing at least to their own electorate in 2018, they will lose again.

I completely disagree, Abs. Far too many people engage in magical thinking. "Poof" build a wall. "Poof" throw all the immigrants out. "Poof" tax cuts to the rich will create jobs. And everything will be just peachy keen.
At the end of the day people who fall for a scam are the architects of their own fate.
How dare Hillary tell coal miners that their jobs have gone away, aren't coming back, and they need to be re-trained? "Re-training?" Why that sounds hard. So they fall for a con artist who tells them what they want to hear, in spite of the long-term trend of employment in the coal industry.

And that's it?
This was a competition. One site managed to incite their electorate, the other one didn't. Which is even more pathetic, looking at the winner.
So one can go and blame the people for being stupid, but it won't resolve anything unless the other side comes up with some appeal of their own. If that doesn't happen, and if they continue to shift the blame around, while sitting on their saturated asses, they will lose again.

This is not American Idol we're talking about, you know.
The dipshits put a madman in charge of the nuclear arsenal.
The Dems had a sane, boring, policy wonk and the republicunts had a madman. Slightly less than half of the voters chose the madman. You're goddamn right that is who I blame. The ones who voted for the WLB and the ones who didn't dare leave their safe space in their own heads to vote for sanity.

Yes, even more shame on the Dems for fucking this up. It is like American Idol - not only in America. If they don't manage to win enough votes, sad day for everyone. They screwed it up, they were complacent, they didn't even notice how much many people looked for the pied piper. And they show no sign of having learned their lesson. If they continue on the road of presenting a boring policy wonk, they will lose and lose again.
People don't learn. People won't even learn when this assclown fucks them over with the sordid lead pipe. They will get their scapegoats to blame. So if the other side doesn't present something exciting, promising them the change, which they all are looking for, the laurel will continue to go to the candidate with the loudest mouth.
Bill Clinton or Obama weren't boring in their campaigns. They may have failed to deliver, but they at least delivered sufficiently to win the second term. As opposed to Hillary, who oozed phony with every grin and everyone of her gestures and speeches. The main problem for her was that she didn't excite her own home team. If she had, she wouldn't have lost. Even more so since the popular vote was on her side. She lost states no Dem has lost before. That's an achievement in itself.
